Hi, My name is Lori and I welcome you to "Christian Soul Survivors".

This is a Christian women's blog for those that have been hurt, wounded, raped, molested, used, or abused. It is a blog for women that are dealing with depression, panic attacks, fears, phobias, or any related issues. This humble blog is also a loving, caring place to find the "way out" of the dark pit that I call "brokedness".

Soul Survivors is the place to find the Christian renewal, restoration, and the revival of the spirit that God has given us. They can hurt and even kill our bodies BUT we will NOT allow them to kill or try to take our souls! We've placed them in God's hand and we will NOT allow anyone to remove them!

Soul Suvivors is a testament of what God, through the Anointing of the Holy Sprirt, can do to a person's life that has been shattered and broken into a million pieces. My Jesus took those pieces and made a wonderful moasaic of peace, love and joy! It is with God, along with prayer, Bible principles, and friendship that we will become.....Soul Survivors!!   • Christmas Christan Spirit

    But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit…
    1 Cor.12:11
    Hi Sisters, I’ve had this Scripture on my mind for over a week now. I’ve been wanting to share on it but I thought there was another verse that said more about it but I can’t find it if there is.

    I want to talk about the “Selfsame Spirit”. What Paul means here is that the same Spirit of God that dwells in one Christian is the same one that dwells in another. Anyone that accepts Christ as their Savior receives this same Jesus into their heart.

    That thought brought me to thinking of all the different kinds of Christian denominations and churches that we have in the world. I’ve heard people say that me all need to be of one denomination and all do things just one way and at first thought that sounds great, as long as you all are going to worship and praise the way I do!! LOL

    As long as a church body is preaching the truth, that Jesus is the Son of God and that He gave Himself as the ultimate Sacrifice for our sins. And that we’re to live our lives as examples of Jesus then we are naturally united with them in that “selfsame Spirit”. Now that’s a very general statement and I don’t mean for it to apply to cults or other sects that are not in the will of God.

    My point is this, I think God enjoys the different types of worship and praise that we bring before Him. Some enjoy the very new contemporary music and the style that it brings, others of us enjoy a quiet reverent kind of service, others still enjoy the lively exuberant praise and worship of a Charismatic service. I could go on and on, but I think you get my point.

    I was imagining God sitting in heaven with His Son. Just ready on Sunday morning…looking down through the heavens and peeping into each of our churches and enjoying a little of this kind and then a little of your kind and then a bit of someone else’s service.

    That brought me to our Christmas traditions and celebrations. How many different ways us Christian’s celebrate the Lord’s birth. And I just know that the Father points out the different things that we do for Jesus’ birthday to His Son!! How blessed, pleased, and even funny They must be to see our silly “human” ways of expressing our love for Jesus.

    And how boring it would be for Them if we did it all the same. This really brought to mind how God made each of us individuals and different in so many ways, even down to our finger prints. BUT, we are all ONE joined together in God’s “selfsame Spirit”.

    This year for the first time in my life I will celebrate the birth of Christ with short thin hair. But I’m blessed to be alive and joined with my sisters here and around the world to celebrate the birth of God’s Son, Jesus.

  • Do You Cry Yourself To Sleep?

    It's time for bed and you've been holding it in all day. You've smiled and been your usual self but inside the pain is more that you can bear. It hurts so bad some times that you want to die. Maybe you cut yourself to release the pain. Maybe there are other things you've done or tried but none have worked.

    The pain that you have was caused from someone that has hurt you and you just don't know how to deal. So you go to bed and pull the covers tight and cry a river!! You feel lost and lonely and just know that you'll never be the same.

    If any of this sounds like you, please hear me tonight. There is a way out!! I promise you that if you will but cry out to God, He will hear you!! And if you'll trust him and just hold on to his promises God will give you a brand new life!!

    7. Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me

    8. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

    8.When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.

    9.Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.

  • Is God Real?

    I often visit YouTube to listen to music or just surf the interesting videos. This last week I came across a video entitled “God’s Cruelest Joke”. It was about a little girl with a very, very deformed face. The comments that followed made me just sick! Just for an example one said that they should take a sledge hammer to her head!!

    I was seeing red by this time and made a couple of posts in response. We ended up in a heated debate with an atheist. Back and forth we went, both trying to prove our point.

    So how do we know that God is real? For me the answer is simple, I just look in the mirror! Just the fact that I am alive, fairly healthy and have a good life is all the proof I need to know that there is a God that loves and cares for me.

    In my youth I had been molested, beat, bullied, and put out of a church that I loved. For years I hated God. I turned my back and went the opposite direction. I got involved in much sin and it took me nowhere except into the “black pit” of dark despair and loss.

    Like many other’s through the ages I did what many do when there’s nowhere else to turn, I cried out to God! The amazing thing was that He heard me! You see he wasn’t very far away. He answered me as soon as I said His name!

    I plan on sharing my testimony soon but trust me, where I was then I didn’t think that a pure, good God would or could even enter!! Yet there was my Jesus! He reached down and lifted me! He set my feet on Solid Ground and He gave me new life!!

    Sister, if you are dealing with any issue in your life right now, let me assure you that NO matter what it is, God has a way out for you.

    It’s that simple! Don’t wait, don’t hesitate, call the name of Jesus right here right now and let Him make a change in you!!

    Welcome!!

    There are some things, I may not know. Surely there are some places I cannot go. But I am sure, of this one thing...That God is real!! For He has changed me and made me whole!!

    Oh sister, if I had a million words and ten thousand years I could never, NEVER tell you what Jesus has done for me.

    My "message" today is that no matter what, NO matter what, has happened to you in your life, GOD has or will make a "way out" for you!! If you will but trust and believe, hold on to His promises and be determined to never let go, He'll do it!! He'll change you, your circumstances, and give you a brand new life!!


    5. Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

    6. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
